Introduction: Hydroxyl-functionalacrylicresinshavegainedsignificantattentioninmanyindustries,includingcoatings,adhesives,andprintinginks,duetotheirexcellentfilm-formingpropertiesandthermalstability.However,theirlimitedwatersolubilityhasbeenachallengeincertainapplications. Inrecentyears,modifyinghydroxyl-functionalacrylicresinswithwater-solubleresinshasemergedasapotentialsolution.Byblendingthesetworesins,wecancombinetheexcellentfilm-formingpropertiesofhydroxyl-functionalacrylicresinswiththewatersolubilityofalcoholacidresins.Thismodificationstrategyopensupnewpossibilitiesfortheapplicationofhydroxyl-functionalacrylicresinsinwater-basedsystems.
