Introduction: Reishimushroomhasbeenusedforcenturiesintraditionalmedicineduetoitspotentialtherapeuticproperties.ThecultivationofReishimyceliumprovidesasustainableandcontrolledmethodforobtainingitsbioactivecompounds.LiquidculturemediumisaneffectiveapproachforcultivatingReishimushroommycelium,asitallowsfornutrient-richconditionssuitableformycelialgrowth.However,thecompositionoftheliquidculturemediumplaysavitalroleinmyceliumyieldandquality.Therefore,itisessentialtooptimizetheliquidculturemediumtoachievemaximummycelialbiomass. Methods: Inthisstudy,severalkeyfactorsaffectingtheliquidculturemediumformulationwillbeinvestigated,includingcarbonandnitrogensources,inorganicsalts,andgrowthfactors.Differentcombinationsandconcentrationsofthesecomponentswillbetestedusingafactorialdesignapproach.Thegrowthrate,mycelialbiomassyield,andnutritionalcompositionofReishimyceliumwillbeevaluated. Results: Basedontheresultsobtained,anoptimizedliquidculturemediumforReishimushroommyceliumcultivationwillbeproposed.Themediumcompositionthatdemonstratesthehighestmycelialbiomassyield,growthrate,andnutritionalcompositionwillbeselectedastheoptimalmedium.TheoptimizedmediumisexpectedtoprovidesufficientnutrientsandoptimalgrowthconditionsforReishimycelium,yieldinghigh-qualitymycelialbiomass.
