基于应变模态差的悬臂梁结构裂纹检测 Abstract Thispaperpresentsacrackdetectionmethodforacantileverbeamusingstrainmodedifference.Cracksareamajorconcerninthestructuralintegrityofmechanicalsystemsastheycancompromisethesafetyandoperationofthesesystems.Therefore,anefficientandreliablecrackdetectiontechniqueisnecessaryforensuringthesafetyandmaintenanceofthesesystems.Inthisstudy,weproposeanon-destructivetesting(NDT)techniquebasedonstrainmodedifferencetodetectcracksincantileverbeams.Theproposedtechniquecandetectcracksatanearlystage,provideaccurateinformationonthelocationandsizeofthecrack,andensurethesafetyandstructuralintegrityofthesystem. Introduction Cracksinmechanicalsystemscanbecausedbymanyfactors,includingstress,fatigue,corrosion,andtemperaturechanges.Theycanoccurinallkindsofmechanicalsystems,fromsmallgearstolarge-scalestructuressuchasbridges,buildings,andaerospacevehicles.Crackscancausesignificantdamagetothemechanicalsystemandcompromiseitssafetyandoperation.Therefore,thedetectionandmonitoringofcracksinmechanicalsystemsarecriticalforensuringtheirsafetyandmaintenance. Overtheyears,variouscrackdetectionmethodshavebeendevelopedfordifferentmechanicalstructures.Somepopulartechniquesincludeultrasonictesting,X-rayradiography,eddycurrenttesting,magneticparticletesting,andvisualinspection.Thesemethodsareeffectiveindetectingcracks,buttheyalsohavelimitationsanddrawbacks,suchashighcost,complexity,anddifficultiesintestingcomplexstructures. Recently,researchershaveshowninterestinusingstrainmodedifferenceasacrackdetectionmethod.Strainmodedifferenceisanon-destructivetestingtechniquethatmeasuresthechangeinthenaturalfrequencyofamechanicalstructurecausedbythepresenceofacrack.Thismethodcandetectcracksatanearlystage,provideaccurateinformationonthelocationandsizeofthecrack,andensurethesafetyandstructuralintegrityofthesystem.
