Introduction Succulentplantsarebecomingincreasinglypopularworldwideduetotheirbeautyandlow-maintenancecharacteristics,leadingtoasurgeindemandfortheseplants.However,identifyingdifferentspeciesofsucculentplantsisachallengingtask,evenforexperiencedplantenthusiasts.Thisdifficultyarisesfromthehighlevelofvariationsbetweenspecies,thecomplexmorphologyofsucculentplants,andthenumerousplantspeciesinexistence. Recentdevelopmentsindeeplearninghaveintroducedsignificanttechnologicaladvancementsinautomatedimagerecognitionalgorithms.Theconvolutionalneuralnetwork(CNN)isamongthemostefficientdeeplearningmodelsforimagerecognition.Thesemodelshavebeensuccessfullyappliedtovariousresearchareas,includingcomputervision,naturallanguageprocessing,andspeechrecognition.Therefore,inthisstudy,weexploredtheapplicationofCNNmodelsforidentifyingdifferentspeciesofsucculentplants.
