厂拌热再生沥青混合料性能试验研究 Abstract Inrecentyears,theuseofhotmixasphalt(HMA)hasbecomeincreasinglypopularduetoitsdurability,lowmaintenancecosts,andhighskidresistance.However,theenvironmentalimpactofHMAproductionhasledtotheincreaseduseofrecycledmaterials,includingreclaimedasphaltpavement(RAP)andrecycledasphaltshingles(RAS). Thisresearchstudyexaminedthepropertiesoffactory-mixedhotrecycledasphaltmixtures(FHRAM)containingRAPandRAS.Thepropertiestestedincludedairvoids,watersensitivity,indirecttensilestrength,andruttingresistance.ThestudyfoundthatincreasingtheRAScontenthadanegativeeffectonthepropertiesofthemixtures,whileincreasingtheRAPcontenthadapositiveeffect. Introduction Asphaltpavementsareavitalcomponentofmoderntransportationinfrastructure.Itisestimatedthatthereareover2.6millionmilesofpavedroadsintheUnitedStatesalone.ThemostcommontypeofasphaltpavementusedintheUnitedStatesishotmixasphalt(HMA).HMAisamixtureofasphaltbinder,aggregates,andfillerthatisheatedandmixedatahightemperaturebeforebeingtransportedtotheconstructionsiteforpaving. However,theproductionofHMAhasasignificantenvironmentalimpact,asitrequirestheuseoflargeamountsoffossilfuelsandproducesgreenhousegases.Theuseofrecycledmaterials,includingreclaimedasphaltpavement(RAP)andrecycledasphaltshingles(RAS),hasbecomeincreasinglypopularinrecentyearsasawaytoreducetheenvironmentalimpactofasphaltpavementproduction.Oneofthemostcommonwaystorecycleasphaltpavementisthroughhotin-placerecycling(HIR),whichinvolvesheatingthepavementon-sitebeforeaddingnewasphalt. Anothermethodofrecyclingasphaltpavementistousefactory-mixedhotrecycledasphaltmixtures(FHRAM).FHRAMisamixtureofRAP,RAS,andvirginasphaltbinderthatisproducedataplantbeforebeingtransportedtotheconstructionsite.ByusingFHRAM,theamountofvirginasphaltbinderrequiredforproductioncanbereduced,resultinginasignificantreductioningreenhousegasemissions.
