Background: Dressingverbsrefertothewordsusedfortheactofwearinganddressing.Theyarecrucialvocabularyineverydaylanguage,andtheirusagecanhelpuscomprehendthedifferencebetweenculturalnormsandsocialcustomsindifferentcountries.ChineseandKoreanaretwohighlysophisticatedlanguageswithrichculturalbackgrounds.However,despitetheirsimilarities,theyexhibitsomedistinctivedifferencesintermsofvocabulary,pronunciation,andgrammarrules. Objectives: Theprimaryobjectivesofthisstudyaretocompareandanalyzethe“dressing”verbsinChineseandKorean.Thefollowingsub-objectiveswillalsobeaddressed: -Toidentifyandclassifythedifferenttypesof“dressing”verbsinChineseandKorean. -Toanalyzethesimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweentheusageof“dressing”verbsinChineseandKorean. -Toexploretheculturalsignificanceofthe“dressing”verbsinChineseandKorean. -Toprovideacomprehensiveliteraturereviewofthepreviousstudy’srelevanttothistopic. Methodology: Thisresearchwillemployadescriptiveandcomparativeanalysismethodology.Acomprehensivecollectionof“dressing”verbsinChineseandKoreanwillbecollectedfromonlinedictionariesandtextbooks.Thedatacollectedwillbeclassifiedandanalyzedbasedontheirgrammaticalsimilaritiesanddifferences.TheresultswillthenbecomparedtofindsimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweenChineseandKorean“dressing”verbs.Finally,themeaningoftheseverbsandtheirculturalsignificancewillbeexplored.
