Researchquestion: WhatarethefactorsthatinfluencethedeclineinmotivationforEnglishlearningamonghighschoolstudents? Objectives: 1.Toidentifythecurrentstateofhighschoolstudents’motivationforEnglishlearning. 2.Toexaminethefactorsthatmayaffecthighschoolstudents'Englishlearningmotivation. 3.ToexploretherelationshipbetweenEnglishlearningmotivationandacademicachievement. 4.Toprovidepracticalrecommendationsforimprovinghighschoolstudents’motivationforEnglishlearning. Methodology: Thisstudywilladoptaquantitativeresearchmethod.Asurveywillbeconductedtocollectdatafromhighschoolstudents.Participantswillberecruitedfromtwohighschoolsinthelocalarea.Thequestionnairewillbedesignedbasedontheliteraturereviewandface-to-faceinterviewswithhighschoolteachersandstudents.Thedatawillbeanalyzedusingstatisticalanalysissoftware,andaregressionanalysiswillbeconductedtoexploretherelationshipbetweenmotivationforEnglishlearningandacademicachievement. Expectedoutcomes: ThefindingsofthisstudywillprovideinsightsintothefactorsthatcontributetothedeclineinmotivationforEnglishlearningamonghighschoolstudents.ThestudymayalsoidentifypossibleinterventionstorestoreandimprovethemotivationofhighschoolstudentstolearnEnglish.Theresultsofthisstudywillbeusefulforhighschoolteachersandpolicymakersindesigningeffectivestrategiestoenhancehighschoolstudents’motivationforEnglishlearning.
