大学生英语写作中词汇错误的研究的中期报告 Introduction: ThisisamidtermresearchreportonvocabularyerrorsinEnglishwritingofuniversitystudents.ThepurposeofthisstudyistoidentifythetypesandfrequencyofvocabularyerrorsmadebyuniversitystudentsinEnglishwritingandtoexplorethecontributingfactorstotheseerrors.Theresearchwillalsoseektoproviderecommendationsonhowtoimprovestudents'vocabularyskillsinwriting. LiteratureReview: PreviousresearchhasidentifiedvocabularyerrorsasamajorchallengeinEnglishwritingamonguniversitystudents.Manystudieshaveshownthatstudentsstrugglewithaccuratelyselectingandusingappropriatewordsintheirwriting.Theseerrorscannegativelyaffectthequalityoftheirwrittenworkandtheiroverallacademicperformance. AstudyconductedbyLi(2018)foundthatthemostcommontypesofvocabularyerrorsmadebyChineseuniversitystudentsintheirEnglishwritingweregrammaticalerrors,lexicalerrors,andregistererrors.Thestudyalsofoundthatfactorscontributingtotheseerrorsincludestudents'limitedknowledgeofEnglishvocabulary,lackofexposuretoauthenticEnglishtexts,andalackofspecificinstructiononvocabularyuse. Methodology: ThecurrentstudywilluseaqualitativeapproachtoanalyzethevocabularyerrorsmadebyuniversitystudentsintheirEnglishwriting.ThestudywillcollectdatafromwrittenassignmentssubmittedbystudentsinanEnglishwritingcourseataChineseuniversity.Thedatawillincludedifferenttypesofwritingassignments,suchasessays,reports,andresearchpapers. Thedatawillbeanalyzedusingcontentanalysistoidentifythetypesandfrequencyofvocabularyerrorsmadebystudents.Theanalysiswillalsoidentifythecontributingfactorstotheseerrors.Thestudywillalsoincludeinterviewswithstudentstogathertheirperceptionsandexperiencesabouttheirvocabularylearningandwritingskills. ExpectedResults: Basedontheliteraturereview,itisexpectedthatthemostcommontypesofvocabularyerrorsmadebyuniversitystudentsintheirEnglishwritingwillincludegrammaticalerrors,lexicalerrors,andregistererrors.Itisalsoexpectedthatstudents'limitedknowledgeofEnglishvocabularyandlackofexposuretoauthenticEnglishlanguagewillbecon
