Thisreportpresentsamid-termresearchreportonthetranslationofTAPs'travelwritingsfromChinesetoEnglish.Thereportcomprisestheresearchmethodology,literaturereview,researchfindings,andrecommendations. ResearchMethodology TheresearchinvolvedcollectingTAPs'travelwritingsinChineseandtheirEnglishtranslations.Thecollecteddatawasanalyzedusingcontentanalysistoidentifysignificantthemesandpatternsinthetexts.TheaimwastounderstandhowculturalfactorsandtranslationstrategiesinfluencethetranslationofTAPs'travelwritingsfromChinesetoEnglish. LiteratureReview Travelwritinghasreceivedsignificantattentioninacademiccircles.Scholarshaveexploredvariousaspectsoftravelwriting,includingtherelationbetweentravelwritingandculture,translationoftravelwriting,andtheinfluenceofgenderontravelwriting.However,thereislimitedscholarshiponthetranslationofTAPs'travelwritings. TAPstravelwritingisrelativelynew,andscholarsareyettoexaminethegenre'stranslationchallengesandstrategies.However,thereisevidencethatculturaldifferencesbetweenChinaandtheEnglish-speakingworldpresentsignificantchallengesinthetranslationofTAPs'travelwritings. ResearchFindings TheanalysisofthecollecteddataidentifiedseveralthemesandpatternsintheTAPs'travelwritings.Thethemesincludeddescriptionsoftechnology,art,andphotography,culturaldifferences,andpersonalexperiences.ThepatternsidentifiedsuggestthatTAPs'travelwritingsarecharacterizedbyvividdescriptions,emotionalappeal,andtheuseofliterarydevicessuchasmetaphorsandsimiles. Theanalysisalsoidentifiedseveraltranslationchallenges,includingculturaldifferences,theuseofidiomsandcolloquialisms,andtheneedforappropriateterminology.
