ZHOUShengxiansaid,intheNaturalForestandResourceProtectionProjectMeetingheldonthe6th,thatthecentralgovernmentwillinvest78.4billionYuan,matchedbyl7.8billionYuanfromthelocalgovernmentontheprojecttoprotectnaturalforestintheUpperYangtzeRiver,MiddleandUpperYellowRiver,andthestate-ownforestinNortheastChinaandInnerMongolia.Theprojectcoversseventeenprovinces,autonomyregionsandmunicipalsdirectlyunderthejurisdictionofcentralgovernmentwhichincludeYunnan,Sichuan,Shaanxi,Gansu,Jilin,andInnerMongolia.
