对外汉语教材中生词的英文注释问题研究的综述报告 Introduction TeachingChineseasaforeignlanguagehasgainedimmensepopularityinrecentyears,andthispopularityhasledtoanincreaseinthenumberofChineselanguagetextbooks.Foreignlanguagestudentsrequireappropriatetextbookstoacquirelanguageskillsandunderstanding.However,thenumerousunfamiliarwordsinChinesetextbooksmakelearningthelanguagebothchallenginganddaunting.Consequently,theinclusionofEnglishannotationsinChinesetextbookshasbecomeawidelyusedapproachtofacilitatelanguageacquisition.ThispaperaimstoprovideacomprehensivereviewoftheliteratureonChinesetextbooks'Englishannotation. TheImportanceofEnglishAnnotationsinChineseTextbooks ForeignlanguagestudentsencountervariousdifficultiesintheirquesttolearnChinese.UnderstandingtheunfamiliarwordsinChinesetextbooksisoneofthesignificantchallengesthatstudentsface.However,EnglishannotationsprovideasolutionbyfacilitatingtheircomprehensionofChinesetexts,leadingtoasmoothandeffectivelearningexperience.Englishannotationsprovideessentialinformationaboutvocabulary,grammar,syntax,pronunciation,andusage,whichenhancethestudents'understandingoftheChineselanguage. EffectiveChinesetextbooks'designshouldincludeEnglishannotationsforChinesecharactersandvocabularyphrases,especiallyinbeginnerandelementarylevels.Thisenablesstudentstoappreciatethestructure,pronunciationandtonesoftheChinesecharactersandwords,whichformsanessentialfoundationforthepreservationandperpetuationoftheChineseculture.Therefore,theinclusionofEnglishannotationsinChinesetextbooksenhancestheforeignstudents'comprehensionofthelanguage,improvestheirspeaking,listening,reading,andwritingskills,andfostersinterculturalcommunication.
