Introduction:
EmotionalIntelligence(EI)hasbecomeanessentialfactorinthepersonalandprofessionaldevelopmentofindividualsintoday'sera.Itreferstothecapacitytounderstand,perceive,andregulateone'semotionsandthatofotherseffectively.EIhasseveralbenefitsinone'spersonalandprofessionallife,includingbetterleadershipskills,stressmanagement,andstrengthenedsocialrelationships.However,manyvocationalstudentsindevelopmentlackemotionalintelligence,afactorthatinhibitstheirgrowthanddevelopment.
Groupcounselinghasbeenidentifiedasacrucialtoolinenhancingemotionalintelligence.Itprovidesasupportiveenvironmentthatallowsindividualstodiscussvariousissuesaffectingtheiremotionalwell-being.Theproposedstudyseekstounderstandtheimpactofgroupcounselinginterventionontheemotionalintelligenceofvocationalstudentsindevelopment.
Statementoftheproblem:
Vocationalstudentsindevelopmentfaceseveralchallengesthataffecttheiremotionalwell-beingandoverallsuccessintheirstudies.Accordingtoresearch,mostvocationalstudentslackthenecessaryemotionalintelligencetonavigatethechallengesthattheyface,leadingtonegativeoutcomessuchaspooracademicperformanceandmentalhealthissues.Therefore,thereisaneedforinterventionsthatcanenhancetheemotionalintelligenceofthesestudents.
