定语从句
1.概念：
修饰名词或代词的从句叫定语从句。被修饰的名词或代词叫先行词，定语从句放在先行词的后面。引导定语从句的词有that,which,who/whom,whose(关系代词)，when,where(关系副词)等。它们起到联系作用，同时又是定语从句的一个组成部分。
关系代词
先行词
Thegirlwholivesnexttousisanofficeworker.

住在我们隔壁的那个姑娘是名办公室工作人员。
先行词
关系代词
Aplaneisamachinethatcanfly.

飞机是一种能飞行的机器。
2.关系代词that,which,who和whom.
That即可指人，也可以指物。
Thisisthebook(that)Iboughtyesterday.这就是我昨天买的书。
that指物,在从句中充当及物动词bought的宾语。
Thescientistthatwillgiveusatalkhasalreadycome.要给我们作报告的那位科学家已经来了。
that指人，在从句中充当主语。
which指物。
Thehouseinwhichweliveisnotlarge.我们所居住的房子不大。
which指house,在从句中充当介词in的宾语。
Which和that都可以指物，但that不可以紧接在介词后。如果上面那个句子用that,应该是：Thehouse(that)weliveinisnotlarge.

Who/whom指人。
TheboyswhoareplayingbasketballontheplaygroundarefromNo.5MiddleSchoo;.
在操场上打篮球的男孩们来自第五中学。
ThemantowhomIspokejustnowisadoctor.
刚才跟我说话的那人是一位医生。
That,which,who/whom在定语从句中当宾语可省略。
Thisisthekey(which/that)youarelookingfor.
这就是你找的那把钥匙。
Thewoman(who/whom)helooksafterishismother.
他照料的那位妇女是他的母亲。
