ATeachersResumeATeachersResumeToWhomItMayConcern:MynameisAndrewLeeandIamaCanadiancitizenwhohasrecentlygraduatedfromGlobalTESOLCollegeandtheUniversityofWinnipeg.InadditiontothefoundationTESOLcourse,Ihavechosentospecializeinteachingadults,childrenandbusinessEnglish.ThecentralfocusofmyacademichistoryisprimarilyrootedinPoliticalScience.However,IhavealsoobtainedamajorinJusticeandLawandSociology.IamcurrentlyseekingasecureESL/EFLteachingpositioninSouthKoreaorTaiwan.Ihavealwayshadauniqueinterestinthecultureofthesetwocountries.Icurrentlyhaveseveralfriendsteachingabroad,inbothSouthKoreaandTaiwan,andIwouldliketojointhem.Ihaveheardnothingbutgoodthingsrelatingtothepeopleofbothcountries.ItisatthistimeinwhichIwouldliketoexperiencethepeopleandthecultureofthesecountriesfirsthand.Asnotedinmyresume,IamcurrentlyvolunteeringattheInternationalCentreofWinnipeg.Workingforthisorganizationhasprovidedmewiththeopportunitytoconductoneononetutoring.Asapersonaltutor,Ihavehadtodevelopdifferentlessonplansforeachstudent.Currently,Iamassistingtwoindividuals,eachwithseparateneeds.Forinstance,forthefirstindividual,IamhelpinghimacquirehishighschoolEnglishcredit.Mycentralfocusforthisindividualistoenhancehisreadingandwritingskills.Asfortheotherindividual,Iamassistinghimindevelopingstrongerlisteningandspeakingskills.Asaresultofthedifferentdemandsofthestudents,Ihavehadtodevelopandemployvariousteachingmethods.InadditiontotutoringfortheInternationalCentreofWinnipeg,IamalsocurrentlyvolunteeringasanassistantlanguageteacherattheWinnipegAdultEducationCentre.Asanassistantlanguageteacher,Ifacilitateinthedeliveryofthelessonplan.Inthisclassroom,theinstructiontimeisdivided,withhalfofthetimebeingspentlearningthroughcomputersandtheotherhalfthroughvarioustasksandexercises.AlthoughIamnotdirectlyinvolvedindevelopingthelessonplan,Iamdirectlyinvolvedintheassessmentofstudentprogress,classdirectionandstudentteaching.Asavolunteerforthesetwoorganizations,notonlyhaveIgainedvaluableteachingexperience,Ihavealsobeenprovidedtheopport
