IIStudyofanEmbeddedImageMonitoringSystemBasedonARMDiscipline:ControltheoryandcontrolengineeringStudentsignature:Supervisorsignature:ABSTRACTWiththerapidevolutionofdigitalimage,embeddedcomputerandcommunicationtechnique,embeddedimagemonitoringsystembecomesanewresearchinginterest.However,alargenumberofpointlesspicturesaretransmittedbacktothemonitoringcenter,whichincreasescommunicationquantityandsurveillanceload;generally,theimage’sdefinitioninremotesurveillanceislowbecauseofitslimitedtransmissionchannel.Animprovingwayismovingobjectdetectioninthefrontofsystem,andsnatchingahighdefinitionpicturewhenmotionhappensandthentransferringbacktothemonitoringcenter.Thismethodcansettlethecontradictionbetweendefinitionandtransferringspeed.Inthedissertation,akindofembeddedimagemonitoringsystembasedonARMisdiscussed.ThesystemhasthefunctionsofmotiondetectionandpicturetransmissionbasedonGPRS,andimprovestheflexibilityofsettingandthedefinitionofabnormalpicture.ThesystemtakesLPC2210basedonARM7coreasitscentralprocessor,andembeddedOSµC/OS-IIasitssoftwareplatform.Movingobjectdetectionadoptsamethodofdynamicdifferencebackgroundimage,whoseprincipleistocalculatedifferencepictureamongthecurrentframesandbackgroundimagesandtakethemotionadjudgingthresholdwhichownsmaximuminformationentropytodeterminemovingarea;anddynamicallyupdatesbackgroundbyusingKalmanfilter.Thus,thesystemrealizesthejudgmentofthemovingareaunderthecomplicatedchangingbackground.ThemonitoringsystemadoptsembeddedWebservertechnologytosendwarninginformationandon-the-spotpicturetotheremotemonitoringcenter.Thewiredorwirelessremotetransmissionchannel(Ethernet
