Keywords:Non-continuouswinding,Tensioncontrol,PermanentMagnetAC(PMAC),Torquecontrol,Speedcontrol 1.Introduction Non-continuouswindingisawidelyusedmethodforvariousapplicationssuchascablemanufacturing,wirewinding,andcoilproduction.Inanon-continuouswindingprocess,intermittentlychangingthewindingdirectionorspeedcansignificantlyimprovethequalityandperformanceofthewoundproduct.However,duetotheintermittentnatureofthisprocess,controllingthetensionbecomescrucialtoavoidanydefectsorinconsistenciesinthefinalproduct.Inthispaper,wepresentanoveltensioncontrolmethodusingPMACtechnologytoaddressthechallengesassociatedwithnon-continuouswinding. 2.PMACSystemOverview ThePMACsystemisknownforitshightorquedensity,excellentdynamicresponse,andhighprecision.Itisasuitablechoiceforapplicationsthatrequireaccurateandefficientcontrol,suchasrobotics,machinetools,andmotordrives.ThePMACsystemconsistsofapermanentmagnetsynchronousmotor(PMSM),apositionsensor,andacontrolalgorithmtoregulatethemotor'storqueorspeed. 3.TensionControlStrategy Theproposedtensioncontrolstrategyfornon-continuouswindingconsistsoftwocontrolloops:torquecontrolandspeedcontrol.Thetorquecontrolloopensuresaccurateandimmediatetensionadjustmentdu
