Introduction: Medicalimageregistrationplaysacrucialroleinaddressingthechallengesofanalyzing,interpreting,andintegratinginformationfromdifferentmedicalimagingmodalities.Accurateandpreciseregistrationhelpsinbetterdecision-making,treatmentplanning,andmonitoringtheprogressofapatient.Onecriticalaspectofimageregistrationistheinterpolationalgorithmusedtodeterminethevaluesofthenon-sampledpointsinthetransformedimage.Theobjectiveofthisresearchistodevelopanimprovedinterpolationalgorithmthatcanaddressthelimitationsofexistingmethods. LiteratureReview: Severalinterpolationtechniques,suchasnearestneighbor,bilinear,andspline-basedmethods,havebeenusedinmedicalimageregistration.However,drawbackslikelossofspatialaccuracyandtheintroductionofinterpolationartifactsexistinthesemethods.Recentstudieshaveproposedvariousimprovements,enhancingtheaccuracyandreducinginterpolationartifacts.Theseincludeadaptiveinterpolation,kernel-basedinterpolation,image-domaininterpolation,andmore.Despitetheseadvancements,thereremainsaneedforfurtherimprovementsinmedicalimageregistrationinterpolationalgorithms.
