Literaturereview Ballbearingsareoneofthemostcommontypesofbearingsinrotatingmachinery.Theyareusedtosupportfreemotionoftheinnerandouterringsofthebearingwithrespecttoeachother.Faultsinballbearingscanariseduetoavarietyoffactorsincludingcontamination,misalignment,wear,andfatigue.Themostcommonsymptomsofbearingfaultsareincreasesinvibrationandnoiselevels,decreasesinbearinglife,andreducedperformanceofthemotor. Numeroustechniqueshavebeendevelopedfordetectinganddiagnosingfaultsinbearings.Themajorityoftechniquesusevarioustypesofsignalanalysis,includingvibration,acoustic,andcurrentsignals.Inparticular,statorcurrentsignalsareincreasinglyusedforfaultdiagnosisofvarioustypesofmachines.Thesesignalscontaininformationaboutelectromagneticandmechanicalinteractionswithinthemotor,whichareaffectedbythebearingfault.
