植被盖度变化背景下的中国北方风蚀区植被防风固沙功能研究(英文) Inrecentyears,thechangingvegetationcoverhasbecomeamajorconcerninthenorthernwind-erodedareasofChina.Thedeclineinvegetationcoverhasledtoseveresoilerosionandsanddrift,whichhasresultedinsignificantecologicaldamageandeconomiclosses.Therefore,thestudyoftheroleofvegetationinpreventingsoilerosionandsanddriftisofgreatsignificanceforthesustainabledevelopmentofthenorthernwind-erodedareas. Thereareseveralfactorsaffectingthevegetationcoverinthenorthernwind-erodedareasofChina.Themainfactorsincludeclimatechange,humanactivities,anddesertification.Duetoglobalwarming,thetemperatureintheregionhasbeenincreasing,whichhasledtoanincreaseinevaporationandadecreaseinprecipitation.Thishasresultedinadeclineinthewatersupply,whichisanimportantfactoraffectingthegrowthofvegetation. Inadditiontoclimatechange,humanactivitiessuchasovergrazing,deforestation,andagriculturalexpansionhavealsoledtoadeclineinvegetationcover.Overgrazingbylivestockandwildanimalshasresultedinthedestructionofvegetationandsoilerosion.Deforestationfortheexpansionofagriculturallandandurbanizationhasledtoasignificantreductioninforestcover,whichhasfurtheraggravatedsoilerosionandsanddrift. Desertificationisanotherfactoraffectingvegetationcoverinthenorthernwind-erodedareas.Desertificationreferstotheprocessoflanddegradationinarid,semi-arid,anddrysub-humidareasduetovariousfactorssuchasclimatevariation,humanactivities,andnaturaldisasters.Desertificationcanleadtothelossofvegetationcoverandsoilerosion,whichinturncancausesanddrift. Vegetationplaysacrucialroleinpreventingsoilerosionandsanddriftinthenorthernwind-erodedareas.Vegetationcovercanmitigatetheimpactofwinderosionbyinterceptingwind-blownsand,reducingwindvelocity,andstabilizingsandparticles.Therootsofplantscanholdsoilparticlestogether,preventingsoilerosionandsanddrift.Vegetationcanalsoimprovethesoilqualitybyincreasingwaterretention,nutrientavailability,andorganicmattercontent. Inaddition,vegetationcanprovideahabitatforavarietyofwildlifespecies,creatinga
