Introduction: Dielectricbarrierdischarge(DBD)hasbeenwidelyusedinvariousfields,suchasplasmaprocessing,environmentalpollutiontreatment,andbiomedicalengineering.ThetraditionalpowersupplyforDBDusesanACpowersource,whichisbulky,expensive,anddifficulttocontrol.Alow-powerpulsefrequencymodulation(PFM)DBDpowersupplyhasbeendevelopedtoaddresstheseissues.Thispaperpresentsthedesignprocessandperformanceanalysisofalow-powerPFMDBDpowersupply. Theory: TheDBDisatypeofnon-thermalplasmadischargegeneratedinadielectricbarrier,whichisaninsulatingmaterialplacedbetweentwoelectrodes.Whenahighvoltageisappliedacrosstheelectrodes,theelectricfieldbreaksdownthegasbetweentheelectrodesandcreatesplasma.Theplasmaisgeneratedinthegas-filledchannelsandisconfinedbetweenthedielectriclayers.DBDhasseveraladvantages,suchaslowgastemperaturerise,lowelectriccurrentdensity,low-cost,simplestructure,andgoodcontrollability. Design: TheDBDpowersupplyconsistsofahighvoltagesource,asignalgenerator,andapoweramplifier.Thehighvoltagesourceprovidesahighvoltageoutput,andthesignalgeneratorgeneratesapulsesignal.Thepulsesignalisthenamplifiedbythepoweramplifierandappliedtotheelectrodes.ThePFMmodulationtechniqueisusedtocontrolthedischargefrequency. InthePFMmodulationtechnique,thepulsefrequencyismodulatedbetweentwofrequenciesF1andF2.Thefrequencyofthepulseisvariedbasedonaspecificwaveformorsequence.ThePFMmodulationtechniquecanbeusedtocontrolthefreque
