Introduction: Economicdevelopmentdisparitiesrefertothedifferencesineconomicgrowth,incomedistribution,andregionaldevelopmentwithinaprovinceorcountry.Thesedisparitiesoftengiverisetosocial,economic,andenvironmentalchallenges.JiangsuProvince,locatedintheeasterncoastalregionofChina,hasbeenexperiencingrapideconomicgrowthoverthepastfewdecades.However,thedisparitiesineconomicdevelopmentacrosscitiesandregionswithinJiangsuhavebecomeincreasinglyprominent. Methodology: TheGinicoefficientisawidelyusedmeasuretoassessincomeinequality.Inthisstudy,weapplytheGinicoefficienttoanalyzeeconomicdevelopmentdisparitiesinJiangsuProvince.TheGinicoefficientiscalculatedatboththeprovincialandcitylevels.Tofurtherunderstandthefactorsdrivingthesedisparities,wedecomposetheGinicoefficientintovariouscomponents,suchasregionalcontributions,industrialcontributions,andinvestmentcontributions.ThisapproachallowsforamorecomprehensiveanalysisoftheeconomicdevelopmentdisparitiesinJiangsu. ResultsandAnalysis: TheanalysisrevealssignificanteconomicdevelopmentdisparitieswithinJiangsuProvince.Severalcities,suchasNanjing,Suzhou,andWuxi,havedevelopedrapidly,whileothers,suchasthoseinthenorthernpartofJiangsu,lagbehind.TheGinicoefficientdecompositionindicatesthatregionaldifferencesplayacrucialroleintheoveralldisparities,contributingtoasignificantportionoftheGinicoefficients.Thissuggeststhattheunevendistributionofeconomicresourcesandindustrialdevelopmentacrossregionsisacriticalfactordr
