国外公司创业投资的研究现状与未来展望——基于英文期刊文献的分析 Introduction Entrepreneurialventuresrequireasignificantamountofcapitaltostartandoperate.Inrecentyears,venturecapitalhasbecomeoneofthemostpopularsourcesoffundingforentrepreneurs.Venturecapitalfirmsinvestinpromisingstartupswithhighgrowthpotential,providingthemwithnotonlyfinancialsupportbutalsomanagerialexpertiseandguidance.Whilemanyventurecapitalfirmsoperatelocally,thereisanincreasingtrendforcompaniestoseekfundingfromabroad,particularlyfromcompaniesbasedintheUnitedStates.Thispaperaimstoexploretheresearchstatusandfutureprospectsofforeigncorporateventurecapital. LiteratureReview Foreigncorporateventurecapitalisarelativelynewphenomenonthathasgainedsignificantattentioninrecentyears.Accordingtoliterature,foreigncorporateventurecapitalinvestmentshavegrownrapidlyoverthepasttwodecades(Gugler&Weichselbaumer,2019).Studieshaveshownthatforeigncorporateventurecapitalinvestmentscanhavepositiveeffectsontherecipientcompany’sgrowth,innovation,andfinancialperformance(Kocak&Abdioglu,2020). Onekeyfactordrivingthesurgeinforeigncorporateventurecapitalistheincreasingglobalizationandcompetitivenessofmarkets.Entrepreneursseekfundingfromoverseascompaniestoaccesslargerpoolsofcapital,toexpandtheirmarkets,andtogainaccesstonewtechnologiesandexpertise(Gugler&Weichselbaumer,2019).Moreover,foreigncorporateventurecapitalistshavedifferentincentivestructures,whichmakesthemmoreflexibleandadaptivethantraditionalventurecapitalfirms(Audretsch&Lehmann,2016).
