Design Thetestingsystemiscomposedoftwomaincomponents,ahardwareinterfaceandasoftwareinterface.ThehardwareinterfaceconsistsofaPCBboardwiththeBU-61580chip,apowersupply,andconnectorsforconnectingtotheavionicsdevices.Thesoftwareinterfaceconsistsofasetofsoftwareprogramsthatcontrolthehardwareinterfaceandenablecommunicationwiththeavionicsdevices. Thehardwareinterfaceusesthe1553Bbusprotocolforcommunicationwiththeavionicsdevices.TheBU-61580chipprovidestheinterfacebetweenthehardwareandthe1553Bbus.Thechiphastwosetsofinterfaces,aninternalinterfaceforcommunicationwiththesoftwareinterface,andanexternalinterfaceforcommunicationwiththeavionicsdevices.TheexternalinterfaceoftheBU-61580chipisconnectedtothePCBboardusingstandardconnectors. Thesoftwareinterfaceiscomposedofasetofsoftwareprogramsthatareusedforcontrollingthehardwareinterfaceandcommunicatingwiththeavionicsdevices.ThesoftwareprogramsarewritteninCandrunonaPC.ThemainsoftwareprogramisresponsibleforinitializingtheBU-61580chip,configuringitforcommunicationwiththeavionicsdevices,andcontrollingthedataexchangeonthe1553Bbus.Thisprogramalsoprovidesauser-friendlyinterfaceforsettingupthetestparameters,executingthetestscripts,andgeneratingthetestreports. Implementation Thetestingsystemwasimplementedusingoff-the-shelfcomponentsandcustom-designedPCBboards.ThePCBboardwiththeBU-61580chipwascustom-designedtoprovidethenecessaryinterfacesandconnectorsforconnectingtotheavionicsdevices.Theboardalsoincludesvoltageregulators,filteringcapacitors,andothercomponentsnecessaryfortheproperfunctioningoftheBU-61580chip.
