Introduction: TheSouthYellowSeaisanimportantseaareainChina,whichisrichinmarineresourcesandplaysanimportantroleinnationaleconomicdevelopment.TheradiatingsandridgeareaintheSouthYellowSeaisoneoftherepresentativeshallowseaareas,withcomplextopographyandvariablewaterflow.Withthecontinuousdevelopmentofcoastalengineering,theconstructionofartificialislandshasbecomeanimportantmeansofoffshoreengineering.However,theimpactofartificialislandengineeringontidalcurrentsandsedimentsintheradiatingsandridgeareaoftheSouthYellowSeaisnotclear,andtheunknownfactorsmayleadtounpredictableresults.Therefore,itisnecessarytostudytheimpactofartificialislandengineeringontidalcurrentsandsedimentsinthisarea. Methodology: Inthispaper,thefinitevolumemethodisusedtoestablishanumericalsimulationmodeloftwo-dimensionalwaterflowandsedimenttransport.ThetidalcurrentandsedimenttransportconditionsintheradiatingsandridgeareaoftheSouthYellowSeaaresimulatedbyusingthemodel.Theimpactofartificialislandengineeringonthetidalcurrentandsedimenttransportisanalyzedbysettingdifferentsizesandlocationsofartificialislands. Results: ThesimulationresultsshowthattheconstructionofartificialislandsintheradiatingsandridgeareaoftheSouthYellowSeawillsignificantlyaffectthetidalcurrentandsedimenttransport.Thelargert
