人民币升值对中美贸易差额影响的实证研究(英文) TheImpactofChineseYuanAppreciationontheTradeImbalancebetweenChinaandtheUnitedStates:AnEmpiricalStudy Introduction China'scurrency,theyuan,hasbeenatopicofsignificantdebateininternationaltradeformanyyears.Thecurrencyhasbeensubjecttocriticismfrombothdomesticandforeignsources,withparticularemphasisonitsexchangeratepolicy.China'sdecisiontoallowthevalueoftheyuantofluctuateagainsttheUSdollarin2005wasmetwithwidespreadoptimism,withsomeanalystspredictingthatthispolicywouldleadtoagradualappreciationoftheyuanandareductioninChina'stradesurpluswiththeUnitedStates.However,morethanadecadelater,concernsoverthetradeimbalancebetweenthetwocountriespersist,withsomecommentatorsdoubtingtheeffectivenessofyuanappreciationinaddressingtheissue. ThispaperseekstoexaminetheimpactofyuanappreciationonthetradeimbalancebetweenChinaandtheUnitedStates,usingempiricaldatafrom2005-2019.ThestudywillexplorehowyuanappreciationhasaffectedChina'sexportsandimports,andwhetherithashadasignificantimpactontheoveralltradebalancebetweenthetwocountries. LiteratureReview PreviousstudieshavefoundmixedresultsontheimpactofyuanappreciationonthetradeimbalancebetweenChinaandtheUnitedStates.SomeresearchershavearguedthatyuanappreciationwouldleadtoareductioninChina'scurrentaccountsurplus,bymakingChineseexportsmoreexpensiveandimportscheaper.Additionally,astrongeryuanmayencourageChineseconsumerstoimportmoreUSgoods,furthernarrowingthetradegap.Ontheotherhand,somestudieshavesuggestedthattheimpactofyuanappreciationonChina'stradebalancewouldbelimited,asChinesefirmsmaysimplyreducetheirprofitmarginstomaintaintheircompetitiveness,offsettingthebenefitsofcurrencyappreciation. Methodology Thisstudyusesaquantitativeresearchdesign,usingdatafromtheUnitedNationsConferenceonTradeandDevelopment(UNCTAD)totrackChina'sexports,imports,andtradebalancewiththeUnitedStatesintheperiodfrom2005-2019.ThestudyemploysdescriptivestatisticsandaregressionanalysistoinvestigatetheeffectofyuanappreciationonChina'sexports,imports,andtheoveral
