Strategies: 1.Incorporatereal-worldlisteningmaterials:Teachersshouldsupplementtextbookswithauthenticlisteningmaterialssuchaspodcasts,TEDTalks,newsbroadcasts,andinterviews.ThisexposuretogenuinespokenEnglishwillhelpstudentsdeveloptheirlisteningskillsandimprovetheirunderstandingofdifferentaccents,speechpatterns,andvocabulary. 2.Encourageactivelistening:Promoteactivitiesthatrequirestudentstoactivelyengagewiththelisteningmaterial,suchasnote-taking,summarizing,andaskingquestions.Thiswillenhancetheircomprehensionandcriticalthinkingskillsandhelpthembecomemoreeffectivelisteners.
