高中生英语阅读中词汇附带习得的实证研究 Title:AnEmpiricalStudyonVocabularyAcquisitionthroughEnglishReadingforHighSchoolStudents Introduction: Vocabularyacquisitionplaysacrucialroleinlanguagelearning,particularlyinthecontextofEnglishasasecondlanguage(ESL)education.Theprocessofexpandingone'svocabularywhilereadinghasbeenwidelyrecognizedasaneffectivemeansoflanguagelearningandteaching.Inthispaper,wepresentanempiricalstudythataimstoinvestigatetheimpactofvocabularyacquisitionthroughEnglishreadingonhighschoolstudents.Thestudyfocusesonexploringtherelationshipbetweenreadingandvocabularyacquisition,aswellasidentifyingstrategiesforeffectivevocabularylearning. Methodology: Toconductthisstudy,asamplegroupofhighschoolstudentswasselected,preferablyfromdifferentproficiencylevels.Theparticipantsweredividedintotwogroups:theexperimentalgroupandthecontrolgroup.TheexperimentalgroupunderwentastructuredEnglishreadingprogram,whilethecontrolgroupdidnotreceiveanyspecificreadingintervention.Bothgroupsweregivenapre-testandapost-testtomeasuretheirvocabularyacquisitionlevels.Additionally,theexperimentalgroupwasaskedtocompleteaquestionnaireregardingtheirreadinghabitsandstrategiesemployed. Results: Theanalysisofthecollecteddataprovidesinsightfulfindingsregardingthebeneficialroleofreadinginvocabularyacquisitionforhighschoolstudents.Theexperimentalgroupdemonstratedsignificantlyhighervocabularyacquisitionscorescomparedtothecontrolgroup.Thissuggeststhatastructuredreadingprogramcaneffectivelyenhancevocabularylearning.Furthermore,thequestionnaireresponsesindicatedthatstudentswhoactivelyengageinreadingactivitiesreportedemployingvariousstrategiestoenhancetheirvocabularyacquisition.Someofthecommonstrategiesidentifiedincludemakinguseofcontextclues,usingvocabularyjournalsorflashcards,andseekingassistancefromdictionariesoronlineresources.
