Introduction: Readingisafundamentalskillinlanguagelearning,anditplaysacrucialroleintheacademicsuccessofhighschoolstudents.Effectivereadingstrategiesareessentialforcomprehendingtexts,extractinginformation,andunderstandingcomplexideas.Theabilitytoemployappropriatereadingstrategiescansignificantlyimpactstudents'overallreadingperformance.Therefore,thisresearchaimstoinvestigatetherelationshipbetweentheEnglishreadingstrategiesadoptedbyhighschoolstudentsandtheirreadingachievements. LiteratureReview: Severalstudieshaveinvestigatedtheinfluenceofreadingstrategiesonreadingperformanceindifferenteducationalsettings.ResearchconductedbyZhang(2015)revealedapositivecorrelationbetweentheuseofreadingstrategiesandstudents'readingcomprehensionskills.Similarly,WangandWang(2016)foundthathighschoolstudentswhoemployedarangeofreadingstrategiesscoredhigheronreadingtestscomparedtothosewhodidnot. ResearchMethodology: Thisstudywillemployamixed-methodsresearchdesigntocollectbothqualitativeandquantitativedata.TheparticipantswillconsistofhighschoolstudentsfromselectedschoolswhoarecurrentlyenrolledinEnglishprograms.Thestudywillutilizeaquestionnairetocollectdataonstudents'self-reportedreadingstrategies.Additionally,readingachievementtestswillbeadministeredtoassessstudents'readingperformanceobjectively.
