Introduction: Oxidativestressreferstoanimbalancebetweenfreeradicalsandthebody'santioxidantdefensesystem,leadingtocellulardamageandthedevelopmentofvariouschronicdiseases.Manynaturalcompounds,includingplantextracts,haveshownpromisingantioxidantactivity.Bittermelon,awell-knownvegetableinmanycultures,hasgainedattentionduetoitspotentialhealthbenefits,includingantioxidanteffects.Thisstudyaimstoexploreandevaluatetheantioxidantpropertiesofbittermelonextract. Methodology: 1.Bittermelonextractpreparation:Freshbittermelonfruitswerecollected,chopped,andthoroughlydried.Thedriedfruitswerepulverizedintoafinepowder,andtheextractwasobtainedthroughsolventextractionusinganappropriatesolvent(suchasethanolorwater). 2.Determinationoftotalphenoliccontent(TPC):TheFolin-CiocalteuassaywasemployedtoquantifytheTPCinthebittermelonextract.Gallicacidwasusedasastandard,andabsorbancewasmeasuredataspecificwavelength. 3.Evaluationofradicalscavengingactivity:DPPH(2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl)andABTS(2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonicacid)radicalscavengingassayswereperformedtoassesstheantioxidantcapacityofthebittermelonextract. 4.Determinationofferricreducingantioxidantpower(FRAP):TheFRAPassaywasconductedtomeasurethereducingpotentialofthebittermelonextract. 5.Invivostudies:Animalmodels(e.g.,ratsormice)wereusedtoevaluatetheantioxidantactivityofbittermelonextract.Animalswereinducedwithoxidativestress,andtheextract'seffectonselectedbiomarkers(
