Introduction: Englishpicturebooksprovideyounglearnerswithanengagingandinteractiveplatformtodeveloplanguageskills.Theuseofpicturebooksinprimaryschoolshasgainedimmensepopularityduetotheirabilitytocaptivatetheattentionofstudentswhilefacilitatinglanguageacquisition.Despitetheirsignificance,teachersencounterseveralchallengeswhenincorporatingthisteachingmethodintheclassroom.Thisstudyexploresthesechallengesandpresentspotentialimprovementstrategiestooptimizetheteachingandlearningexperience. ChallengesinTeachingEnglishPictureBooks: 1.LimitedVocabularyandSuitableContent:OneofthechallengesfacedbyteachersisthelimitedvocabularyinEnglishpicturebooksavailableforprimaryschoolstudents.Manypicturebooksaimedatthisagegrouptendtofocusonsimplervocabulary,whichcanlimitthedevelopmentofstudents'languageskillsandhindertheiroverallprogress. 2.CulturalContext:Picturebooksoftenshowcaseculturalcontextsthatmaynotbefamiliartothetargetstudents,causingconfusionandmisinterpretation.Thisculturalgapcanhinderstudents'understandingandengagementwiththecontent,decreasingtheirmotivationtolearn. 3.Teacher'sCompetenceandTraining:Teachersrequirespecificskillsandexpertisetoeffectivelyincorporatepicturebooksintheirteaching.Manyeducatorsmaylackthenecessarytrainingandknowledgetoutilizepicturebookstotheirfullestpotential. 4.TimeConstraints:ThelimitedtimeavailableforteachingEnglishinthecurriculumcanbeachallengeforteachers.Integratingpicturebooksintothesyllabusmayrequire
