Introduction: Sincethediscoveryofthechaoticphenomenon,synchronizationofchaoticsystemshasbecomeanactiveresearcharea.Synchronizationofchaoticsystemshasseveralapplicationsinsecurecommunications,cryptography,andotheradvancedtechnologies.However,synchronizationofhyperchaoticsystemsismorechallengingduetotheircomplexityandthepresenceofmultiplecoexistingattractors.Inthispaper,weproposeanadaptivecontrol-basedmethodforthesynchronizationofhyperchaoticsystems.Theproposedmethodisappliedtotwohyperchaoticsystems-LorenzandRössler. Methodology: Theproposedadaptivecontrol-basedmethodisappliedtotwohyperchaoticsystems-LorenzandRössler.Thestatevariablesofthehyperchaoticsystemsareestimatedusinganobserver.Theestimatedstatesarethenusedtodesigntheproposedadaptivecontrollaw.Theadaptivecontrollawisdesignedtodrivetheerrortozerobyadjustingthecontrolgain.Theadaptivecontrollawisexpressedintermsoftheestimatedstateandtheerrordynamics.
