NetlistExtraction:Netlistextractionisanimportantstepasitensuresthatallthetracesareconnectedproperlytoavoidelectricalhazards.WecanextractthenetlistusingthePROTELPCBeditortoensurethatallconnectionsaremadecorrectly.ThenetlistwillcontainalistofallthecomponentsonthePCBalongwiththeirconnections. DesignRuleCheck(DRC):Afterwehavecompletedtheschematic,componentplacement,routing,andnetlistextraction,wecanrunaDRCusingthePROTELsoftware.ADRCwillcheckthedesigncompliancewithasetofpre-definedruleslikeminimumclearance,minimumtracewidth,andotherelectricalstandards.TheDRCensuresthatthePCBdesigniserror-freeandmeetsallnecessaryspecifications.
