Introduction: Grammarinstructionplaysacrucialroleinthelearningandacquisitionofasecondlanguage.However,theteachingofgrammarhasbeenacontentiousissueamongeducators,withdifferingbeliefsandpracticesobservedintheclassroom.ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatethebeliefsandpracticesofmiddleschoolEnglishteachersingrammarinstructionandunderstandtheirperspectives. Methods: Toobtainacomprehensiveunderstanding,asurveywasconductedwithasamplegroupofmiddleschoolEnglishteachers.Thesurveyquestionnaireconsistedofbothclosed-endedandopen-endedquestions,addressingvariousaspectsofgrammarinstruction,includingteachers'beliefs,teachingmethods,resources,andchallengesfacedintheclassroom.Thesurveyalsogathereddemographicinformation,suchasteachingexperienceandeducationalbackground. Results: ThesurveyresultsrevealeddiversebeliefsandpracticesamongmiddleschoolEnglishteachersregardinggrammarinstruction.Whileasignificantnumberofteachersacknowledgedtheimportanceofgrammarinstruction,therewerevariationsintheprioritizationofgrammarteachingwithintheircurriculum.Themajorityofteacherssawgrammarasafundamentalaspectoflanguagelearning,believingittobeessentialfordevelopingstudents'communicationskillsandaccuracyinlanguageuse.
