Introduction: Englishwritingplaysacrucialroleinforeignlanguagelearning,andjuniorhighschoolstudentsneedvariousstrategiestoenhancetheirwritingskills.Onepotentialstrategyisreadingpromotion,whichinvolvesencouragingstudentstoreadextensivelyandusingreadingmaterialsasabasisforwritingactivities.Thisstudyaimstoexploretheeffectsofreadingpromotiononimprovingstudents'Englishwritingabilities.Byinvestigatingtherelationshipbetweenreadingandwriting,wecangaininsightsintotheeffectivenessofincorporatingreadingactivitiesinEnglishwritinginstruction. Methodology: Toconductthisempiricalstudy,bothqualitativeandquantitativeresearchmethodswereemployed.Agroupofjuniorhighschoolstudentswereselectedastheresearchsubjects.Thestudywasconductedoveraperiodofsixweeks,duringwhichthestudentsparticipatedinregularreadingactivitiesspecificallydesignedtoenhancetheirwritingskills.Preandpost-writingtestswereadministeredtomeasureanyimprovementsinthestudents'writingabilities.Additionally,classroomobservationsandinterviewswereconductedtogainadeeperunderstandingofthestudents'attitudestowardsreadingandwriting.
