中国服务业利用外商直接投资实证分析(英文) EmpiricalAnalysisofhowtheChineseServiceIndustryUtilizesForeignDirectInvestment Introduction Chinahasemergedasoneofthefastest-growingeconomiesintheworld,withastrongfocusonitsmanufacturingandservicessectors.Whilethemanufacturingsectorhastraditionallybeenthekeydriverofgrowth,theservicesectorhasnowbecomeanincreasinglyimportantpartoftheeconomy,accountingformorethan50%oftheGDP.Inrecentyears,theChinesegovernmenthasbeenactivelyencouragingforeigninvestmentintheservicesector,withtheaimofmodernizingandupgradingtheindustry.ThispaperaimstoprovideanempiricalanalysisofhowtheChineseserviceindustryutilizesforeigndirectinvestment(FDI). OverviewoftheChineseServiceIndustry TheserviceindustryinChinahasbeengrowingrapidlyinrecentyears,withaCAGRof8.4%between2012and2019.Theindustrycanbebroadlyclassifiedintothreecategories:commercialservices,socialservices,andpublicservices.Commercialservicesincluderetail,finance,transportation,andcommunication,whilesocialservicesincludehealthcare,education,andentertainment.Publicservicesincludeadministrativeservices,publicsecurity,andfirefighting. China'sservicesectorisexpectedtocontinueitsrapidgrowth,withitsvalue-addedoutputprojectedtoreach79trillionyuanby2030.Theserviceindustryisalsoexpectedtocreatesignificantemploymentopportunities,withanestimated40millionnewjobsexpectedtobecreatedby2020. ForeignDirectInvestmentintheChineseServiceIndustry Foreigndirectinvestment(FDI)hasbeenplayinganimportantroleinthegrowthoftheChineseserviceindustry.TheChinesegovernmenthasbeenactivelyencouragingforeigninvestmentintheservicesector,withtheaimofmodernizingandupgradingtheindustry.Between2004and2019,thecumulativeFDIintotheservicesectorinChinareached$1.8trillion,accountingfor62.9%ofChina'stotalFDI. ThedistributionofFDIintheserviceindustryishighlyconcentratedincertainsectors.Asof2019,thecommercialservicesectoraccountedfor60.4%oftotalFDIintheservicesector,followedbysocialservices(28.7%)andpublicservices(10.9%).ThetopthreesectorsthatattractedthehighestFDIflo
