High-temperatureoxidationbehaviorofFeAl-basedalloys: TheoxidationbehaviorofFeAl-basedalloysisinfluencedbyseveralfactorssuchastemperature,thenatureoftheatmosphere,andthealloycomposition.Athightemperatures,anoxidelayerisformedonthesurfaceofthealloy,whichplaysacrucialroleindeterminingtheoveralloxidationresistanceofthealloy.Theoxidelayeractsasabarriertopreventfurtheroxidationofthealloyandtomaintainitsstability.Thecompositionoftheoxidelayerformedisdependentonthenatureofthealloy,thetemperature,andtheatmosphere. TheoxidationresistanceofFeAl-basedalloyscanbeimprovedbyalloyingwithotherelementssuchasCr,Si,andTi.Thisisbecausethesealloyingelementsactasstabilizersoftheoxidelayerandenhanceitsadhesiontothesubstrate.StudieshaveshownthattheadditionofCrtoFeAl-basedalloyscansignificantlyimprovetheiroxidationresistance,mainlyduetotheformationofaprotectiveCr2O3layeronthesurface.
