CurrentStateofHighSchoolEnglishTeaching: 1.LimitedFocusonSpeakingandListeningSkills: Despitetheimportanceofeffectivecommunicationskills,thecurrenthighschoolEnglishcurriculumtendstooveremphasizereadingandwritingskills.Thelackofemphasisonspeakingandlisteningskillshampersstudents'abilitytocommunicatefluentlyinEnglish. 2.TraditionalClassroomApproaches: Traditionallecture-basedteachingmethodsdominatehighschoolEnglishclassrooms,resultinginpassivelearningexperiencesforstudents.Theteachingapproachoftenfocusesonrotememorizationratherthanfosteringcriticalthinkingandcreativity. 3.ResourceConstraints: Limitedresources,includingoutdatedtextbooks,ashortageofqualifiedteachers,andinsufficientexposuretoauthenticEnglishlanguagematerials,underminethequalityofEnglishlanguageinstructioninhighschools. 4.AssessmentPractices: Thedominantfocusonexaminationresultsasthesolemeasureofsuccessleadsinstructorstoprioritizetest-takingstrategiesoverdeepcomprehensionandpracticallanguageskillsdevelopment.Thisapproachhindersstudents'overallEnglishlanguageproficiency.
