Introduction Inrecentyears,nanotechnologyhasmadegreatstrides,givingrisetoawealthofresearchinthefieldsofphysics,chemistry,andbiology.Inparticular,theuseofnanomaterialshasbecomeincreasinglypopularduetotheiruniquephysical,chemical,andbiologicalproperties.Amongthesematerials,silvernanoparticleshaveattractedmuchattentionduetotheirexcellentopticalandelectricalproperties,makingthemidealforuseinthefieldsofelectronics,sensors,andbiomedicine. Therearevariousmethodsforsynthesizingsilvernanoparticles,includingchemicalreduction,photochemicalreduction,electrochemicalmethods,andmicrowave-assistedmethods.Microwave-assistedmethodshavegainedincreasingattentionduetotheirrapidsynthesis,simplepreparation,andhighyield.Inthisstudy,amicrowave-assistedmethodwasadoptedtosynthesizesphericalsilvernanoparticles,andtheirphysicalandopticalpropertieswerecharacterizedandstudied. Experimentalsection Tosynthesizethesilvernanoparticles,silvernitrate(AgNO3,99.9%)andsodiumborohydride(NaBH4,99%)wereusedastheprecursorandreductant,respectively.Themicrowave-assistedmethodinvolvedheatingasolutioncontaining10mlofAgNO3(2mM)and10mlofNaBH4(4mM)inadomesticmicrowaveovenfor5min.Thereactionwasthencooledtoroomtemperature,andtheresultingnanoparticlesolutionwascentrifugedat12000rpmfor10mintoremoveimpurities.Theresultingsolutionwasthendi
