Introduction Radarmonitoringsystemshavebeenwidelyusedinvariousfieldssuchassecurityandsurveillance,navigation,meteorology,andmilitaryapplications.Theycandetectthepresence,location,andmovementofobjectssuchasaircraft,ships,vehicles,andweatherphenomenabyemittingelectromagneticwavesandinterpretingthereflectedsignals.Traditionalradarsystemshavededicatedhardwarecomponentsthataredesignedforspecificpurposesanddifficulttoupgradeormodify.However,withthedevelopmentofprogrammablelogicdevices(PLDs)andfield-programmablegatearrays(FPGAs),radarsystemscannowbeimplementedonaprogrammablechip.TheNiosⅡsystem-on-a-programmable-chip(SOPC)isapopularchoiceforbuildingradarmonitoringsystemsduetoitsconfigurability,flexibilityandupgradability.
