Inthispaper,wewilldiscussthecompletenessindicatorSISMAoftheGALILEOsystemandanalyzeitsperformancethroughsimulation.TheSISMAisaquantitativemeasureofthecompletenessofaGNSSsystem,whichcanbeusedtoassessthesystem'sabilitytoprovidepositioningandtimingservicesindifferentscenarios.WewilldiscusstheconceptofSISMA,itscalculationmethod,andthesimulationresultsobtainedthroughdifferentscenarios. ConceptofSISMA ThecompletenessindicatorSISMAisbasedontheconceptofdilutionofprecision(DOP),whichiscommonlyusedinGNSSsystemstoassessthequalityofthepositioningsolution.TheDOPisameasureofhowthepositioningaccuracyisimpactedbythegeometryofthesatelliteconstellation.Ingeneral,alowerDOPvalueindicatesabetterpositioningaccuracy. TheSISMAtakesintoaccounttheDOPvaluesoftheGALILEOsystemindifferentscenariostoprovideameasureofthesystem'scompleteness.Thecompletenessreferstothesystem'sabilitytoprovidepositioningandtimingservicesindifferentenvironments,suchasurbancanyons,openareas,forests,andsoon.TheSISMAisameasureofhowmanyscenariostheGALILEOsystemcanprovidereliablepositioningandtimingservices. CalculationMethodofSISMA TheSISMAcanbecalculatedbyanalyzingtheDOPvaluesoftheGALILEOsystemindifferentscenarios.TheDOPvaluescanbeobtainedthroughsimulationormeasurementdata.Inthispaper,wewillfocusonsimulationanalysis.
