WindClimateCharacteristics 1.Windspeed AccordingtothehistoricaldataofmeteorologicalobservationinJinzhouRegion,theaveragewindspeedisrelativelyhigh.TheannualaveragewindspeedinJinzhouCityis4.9m/s,whichishigherthanthenationalaveragewindspeedof3.1m/s.Thehighestwindspeedoccursinwinter,withanaveragespeedof5.5m/s.Thisisbecausethetemperaturedifferencebetweenlandandseaislarge,andthecoldairfrominlandChinamoveseastward,collidingwiththewarmandmoistairfromtheBohaiSea.Thiscollisionresultsinunstableatmosphericconditionsandstrongwindsinwinter. 2.Winddirection TheprevailingwinddirectioninJinzhouRegionisnorthwest,accountingfor31.5%oftheyear,followedbynortheastandsouthwest.Theanalysisshowsthatthemaindrivingforceofthewinddirectionistheterrain.ThemountainsinthewestofJinzhouRegionformanaturalbarrier,whichdeflectsthedominantairflowfromnorthwesttonortheast.Atthesametime,thecoastlineoftheBohaiSeaisrelativelysmooth,andthewindisnotaffectedbythecoastline. 3.Windfrequency ThewindfrequencyinJinzhouRegionishigh,especiallyinwinterandspring.Thewindfrequencyisthehighest,accountingfor27.5%oftheyear.Thewindfrequencyinautumnisthelowest,onlyaccountingfor19.6%.ThisphenomenonisrelatedtothemonsooncirculationsysteminEastAsia.Inwinterandspring,theSiberianHighisdominant,andtheairpressuredifferencebetweenthenorthandthesouthislarge,whichprovidesthemaindrivingforceforthewindinJinzhouRegion.Insummerandautumn,undertheinfluenceofthesubtropicalhigh,thepressuredifferencebetweenthenorthandthesouthdecreases,andthewindspeedisrelativelyweak.
