Background: VSC-HVDCisatwo-waypowertransmissionthatusestheconvertertochangethevoltagelevelforpowertransmission.TheVSC-HVDChasmanyadvantages,suchasbettercontrollability,smallersize,andfasterdynamicresponsecomparedtoconventionalHVDCtransmission.Therefore,theVSC-HVDChasbeengraduallyappliedinpowersystems,especiallyinconnectingoffshorewindfarmstothemaingrid.
