SupplyChainEvolution: Overthepastseveraldecades,supplychainshaveevolvedfromindividualcollectionsofsuppliersandmanufacturerstocomplexnetworksofnodesspanningtheglobe.Thisevolutionhasbeendrivenbyadvancesintechnology,globalization,andchangingconsumerpreferences.Assupplychainshavebecomemorecomplex,theyhavealsobecomemorevulnerabletodisruption.Thishasledtoagrowinginterestinsupplychainmanagementasawaytomitigateriskandimproveperformance. TheRoleofAgentsinSupplyChainManagement: Inanagent-basedmodel,eachentityinthesystemisrepresentedasanagent.Theseagentsinteractwitheachotherbasedonasetofrulesandbehaviors.Inasupplychaincontext,agentscouldrepresentsuppliers,manufacturers,distributors,retailers,andconsumers.Bymodelingsupplychainsasanetworkofinteractingagents,wecansimulatehowchangesinoneareaofthesystemcanaffecttherestofthesystem. AdvantagesofAgent-BasedModelinginSupplyChainManagement: Oneofthesignificantadvantagesofagent-basedmodelingisitsabilitytosimulatecomplexsystemsandidentifyemergentbehavior.Itallowsustoexperimentwithdifferentscenariosandtesttheiroutcomeswithouttheneedforreal-worldtesting.Additionally,agent-basedmodelingcanprovideinsightsintosupplychaindynamicsandidentifyareasforimprovement. Acasestudy:RepastSSimulation: Todemonstratetheusefulnessofagent-basedmodelinginsupplychainmanagement,wewillexploreacasestudyusingRepastSsimulation.Thesimulationwillmodelasupplychainnetworkconsistingofthreesuppliers,twomanufacturers,andthreeretailers.Thesimulationwilltracktheflowofgoodsfromthesupplierstothemanufacturersandthentotheretailers.Additionally,thesimulationwillincludefactorssuchastransportationtime,productioncapacity,anddemandvariabil
