PressureVesselFlangeSealingAnalysis Thepressurevesselflangesealinganalysissystemconsistsofatransientcoupledthermo-elasto-plasticcontactanalysisprogram.Inthisanalysis,thefiniteelementmethodisusedtomodelthebehaviorofthepressurevesselanditsflanges.Themathematicalmodelsusedinthissystemincludecouplingthermal,mechanical,andplasticityequationsfortheanalysisofpressurevesselflangesealing.Theprogramsystemalsohasthecapabilitytoanalyzethebehaviorofthesealingmaterialsunderextremeconditions. Thethermalanalysisintheprogramsystemisusedtocalculatethetemperaturedistributioninthepressurevesselflangeduringthermalloadings.Theheatgeneratedfromthenuclearfissionprocessistheprimarysourceofheatinthisanalysis.Thethermo-mechanicalanalysisisusedtosimulatethedeformationbehavioroftheflangeunderthermalloadings.Thematerialpropertiesoftheflangesandsealingmaterialsareutilizedtocalculatethestressandstraindistributionsinthepressurevesselflangeduringtheanalysis. Theprogramsystemalsousestheplasticityequationstomodelthebehaviorofthepressurevesselflangeandthesealingmaterialunderhighstressconditions.Theplasticdeformationofthematerialisconsideredwhenitissubjectedtohightemperaturesorhighpressures.Thecoupledthermo-elasto-plasticcontactanalysisisusedtoevaluatethesealingmechanismofthepressurevesselflangesunderextremeconditions. ResultsandDiscussion Theresultsobtainedfromtheanalysisincludethestressandstraindistributioninthepressurevesselflangeandthesealingmaterial.Thisdatacanbeusedtoevaluatethe
