TheMATLABprogramimplementstheMATLABprogramminglanguageandprovidesanextensivelibraryofpredefinedfunctionsthatmaketechnicalprogrammingtaskseasierandmoreefficient.ThisbookintroducestheMATLABlanguageandshowshowtouseittosolvetypicaltechnicalproblems. MATLABisahugeprogram,withanincrediblyrichvarietyoffunctions.EventhebasicversionofMATLABwithoutanytoolkitsismuchricherthanothertechnicalprogramminglanguages.Therearemorethan1000functionsinthebasicMATLABproductalone，andthetoolkitsextendthiscapabilitywithmanymorefunctionsinvariousspecialties.ThisbookmakesnoattempttointroducetheusertoallofMALTLAB′sowntoolstolocatethecorrectfunctionforaspecificpurposefromtheenormouschoiceavailable. AdvantagesofMATLAB MATLABhasmanyadvantagescomparedwithconventionalcomputerlanguagesfortechnicalproblemsolving.Amongthemarethefollowing: EaseofUse MATLABisaninterpretedlanguage,likemanyversionsofBasic.LikeBasic,itisveryeasytouse.Theprogramcanbeusedasascratchpadtoevaluateexpressionstypedatthecommandline,oritcanbeusedtoexecutelargeprewrittenprograms.Programsmaybeeasilywrittenandmodifiedwiththebuilt-inintegrateddevelopmentenvironment,anddebuggedwiththeMATLABdebugger.Becausethelanguageissoeasytouse,itisidealforeducationaluse,andfortherapidprototypingofnewprograms. Manyprogramdevelopmenttoolsareprovidedtomaketheprogrameasytouse.aworkspacebrowser,andextensivedemos.
