Introduction: MininginChinaisoneofthemostcriticalindustriesinthecountry.Thecoalminingindustryprovidesanenormousamountofenergyandemploymentopportunitiestothecountry.TheJingxingCoalfieldislocatedintheHebeiProvinceofChina,anditiswell-knownforcoalreservesandproduction.Inrecentyears,therehavebeenmanyincidentsofwaterinrushinthecoalmininginthisregion.Theseincidentshaveresultedinlossoflife,propertydamage,andenvironmentalpollution.Therefore,itisessentialtoinvestigatethecauseoftheseaccidentsanddevisemeasurestopreventtheminthefuture. Methodology: Inthisstudy,wecollecteddatafortheJingxingCoalfieldoverthepasttenyears.Thecollectionofdatawasfromminingcompanies,governmentagencies,andotherreliablesources.Weusedstatisticalsoftwareforanalyzingdataandevaluatingtrends.Weanalyzeddataongroundwater,rainfall,coalseamthickness,andthegeotechnicalfeaturesintheregion. Results: ThedataanalysisshowedthattheintensityandfrequencyofwaterinrushinthebottomplateoftheJingxingCoalfieldareontherise.Thestudyrevealsthattheprimaryreasonforthistrendistheblockageofdrainagechannels.Thethicknessandstructureofthestratumunderneaththecoalseamseemtohaveasignificanteffectonwaterinrushincidents.Besides,theintensityandfrequencyofrainfallintheareaalsoplayaroleinthetrendofwaterinrush.Thestudysuggeststhatthegeologicalconditionsofthecoalfieldshouldbeviewedholistically,includingdrainagesystems,geologicalstructure,andcoalseamthickness.
