OneofthemostpopularalgorithmsforschedulingtasksinadistributedsystemistheWeightedFairQueueing(WFQ)algorithm,whichprioritizestasksusingthefairsharingprinciplebasedontheirweights.Inthispaper,weproposeanimprovedversionoftheWFQalgorithmthataimstoenhancethestabilityofthequeueingsystem,improvethequalityofservice,andminimizeresponsetime. However,amajordrawbackofWFQisitsinabilitytohandleburstytraffic,causingthequeuetobecomeunstableandcongestedwithalargenumberofbackloggedtasks,whichleadstohighlatencyandpoorqualityofservice.Toovercomethisproblem,severalaugmentedWFQalgorithmshavebeenproposed,includingtheWFQwithStart-TimeFairQueuingandtheWFQwithDelayedScheduling.
