Introduction TheBohaiSeaisasemi-enclosedshallowsealocatedinthenortheastofChina,whichisanimportantwaterresourceforeconomicdevelopment,transportation,andecologicalenvironment.However,duetotherapiddevelopmentofindustryandagricultureinthesurroundingarea,theBohaiSeahasbeenseverelyaffectedbyvariousenvironmentalproblems,suchaspollutionandeutrophication.WaterqualitymonitoringisanimportanttooltoevaluatetheecologicalhealthoftheBohaiSea.Remotesensingtechnologyhasprovidedarapid,efficient,andcost-effectivemethodforlarge-scalemonitoringofwaterquality,whichhasbeenwidelyusedintheBohaiSea. However,theatmosphericeffectscanseriouslyaffecttheaccuracyofremotesensingwaterqualityestimation,especiallyintheshallowwaterareas.Theatmosphericcorrectionmethodcansignificantlydecreasetheatmosphericeffectsandimprovetheaccuracyoftheretrievedwaterqualityparameters.Thetraditionalatmosphericcorrectionmethodneedstousetheinformationofaerosolopticalpropertiesandthewatersurfacereflectance,whicharedifficulttoobtaininpractice. Inrecentyears,deeplearningtechnologyhasshowngreatpotentialinmanyapplications,suchasimageclassification,objectdetection,andsemanticsegmentation.Inthefieldofremotesensing,deeplearningmodelshavebeenproposedforatmosphericcorrection,land-coverclassification,andchangedetection.Inthisstudy,weproposeadeeplearning-basedatmosphericcorrectionmodelforGOCIimagesintheBohaiSea.
