测地线主动轮廓模型的改进及其医学应用 Abstract Theactivecontourmodel(ACM)isanimportanttoolinimagesegmentation,andhasbeenwidelyusedinmedicalimaging.However,thetraditionalACMbasedonlevelsetmethodhasdifficultiesinhandlingcompleximagefeaturesandcanbesensitivetoinitialization.Toaddresstheseissues,thegeo-inspiredACM(GACM)basedongeodesicdistancehasbeenproposed.WiththeadvantagesofGACM,anewmodel,calledthegeodesicactivecontourmodelwithprincipalcurvatureconstraints(GACPKC),hasbeendeveloped.Thismodelcaneffectivelyhandlecompleximagefeaturesandimprovetherobustnessofthesegmentationprocess.Inthispaper,weintroducetheprincipleofGACManditsimprovement,GACPKC.Wealsopresentseveralapplicationsoftheimprovedmodelinmedicalimaging,includingMRIimagesegmentation,CTimagesegmentation,andultrasoundimagesegmentation. Introduction Imagesegmentationisanimportanttechniqueinmedicalimaging,whichisusedtoidentifyspecificstructuresorregionsofinterestinmedicalimages.Theactivecontourmodel(ACM),alsoknownasthesnakemodel,isapopularapproachforimagesegmentation.TheACMisaparametriccurvethatcandeformitselfinresponsetoimagefeatures,anditsoptimalpositioncanbeobtainedbyminimizinganenergyfunctional.ThelevelsetmethodisawidelyusedalgorithmforACM,whichcanrepresenttheparametriccurveasthelevelsetofahigher-dimensionalfunction.However,thetraditionallevelset-basedACMhassomedisadvantages,suchasdifficultiesinhandlingcompleximagefeaturesandsensitivitytoinitialization. Toaddresstheaboveissues,anewACMbasedongeodesicdistance,calledthegeodesicactivecontourmodel(GACM),hasbeenproposed.TheGACMutilizesthegeodesicdistancebetweenimagepointstoconstrainthedeformationofthecontour.Thegeodesicdistanceistheshortestpathbetweentwopointsonanimage,anditcaneffectivelyhandlecompleximagefeaturessuchasedges,corners,andcurves.TheGACMcanalsoreducethesensitivitytoinitializationandimprovetherobustnessofthesegmentationprocess.
