Introduction Inrecentyears,withtherapiddevelopmentofbigdatatechnology,variousindustrieshavebeenprofoundlyaffectedbythedataera.Theeducationindustryisalsofacingunprecedentedchanges,whichrequiresteacherstohavestrongdataliteracytoadapttothenewsituation.Asimportantcarriersoflanguageeducation,Englishteachersneedtohaveadeeperunderstandingofdataanalysisandutilizationskillstoimprovetheeffectivenessoflanguageteaching.Therefore,thispaperdiscusseshowtocultivatedataliteracyforEnglishteachersintheeraofbigdata,aimingtoprovideareferenceforthedevelopmentofEnglishteachertrainingprograms. CurriculumDesign ThecurriculumisthefoundationofcultivatingdataliteracyforEnglishteachers.Ontheonehand,itisnecessarytooptimizethecurriculumdesignofdata-relatedcoursesforEnglishteachersandincreasetheproportionofdata-relatedcoursesinteachertrainingprograms.Ontheotherhand,itisalsoessentialtointegratedataanalysisandutilizationintotheteachingofexistingcourses. Firstly,itisnecessarytoimprovethecontentofdata-relatedcoursesforEnglishteachers.Traditionalcoursessuchasstatisticsandinformationtechnologyneedtobeupdatedtomeettheneedsofthedataera.Forexample,datavisualization,dataminingandmachinelearningshouldbeaddedtothecurriculumtoimprovethepracticalskillsofEnglishteachers.
